Golf Simulator Design & Installation in Northbrook
Golf Sim Chicago helps Northbrook homeowners explore room-first golf simulator plans without assuming one equipment package fits every household.
Northbrook’s mix of established ranches, split-level homes, and newer builds—from the areas around Techny Prairie to other neighborhoods—creates different basement and bonus-room starting points.
Check the level where play would happen
In a split-level or older ranch, a lower-level room may have a different clear ceiling height from the floor above. A newer finished basement may feel larger yet still place soffits or stairs in the hitting path. Measure the actual location of the golfer, screen, and obstacles.
If the family also needs a television area, identify where viewers and children move through the room. Enclosure depth, ball containment, and sound should be discussed before furniture or technology is fixed in place.

Keep an alternate space in mind
A garage or bonus room could be worth comparing if the basement is constrained. Check door hardware, storage, insulation, daylight, outlets, and the clearance each intended golfer needs in that alternative.
Frame a Northbrook consultation
Send photos and rough dimensions for each candidate room, plus a description of intended practice and non-golf use. Options can then be discussed against your specific layout.
Frequently asked questions
Can a split-level Northbrook home have enough swing height?
Possibly, but the usable height at the hitting position and along the swing path must be measured; the home style alone cannot establish fit.
Should I compare a garage and basement before buying a monitor?
Yes. Space and mounting needs can affect which tracking systems are practical, so compare both rooms’ clearances and other uses first.
