Golf Simulator Design & Installation in Glen Ellyn
Golf Sim Chicago helps Glen Ellyn homeowners plan simulator spaces around their room’s proportions and the way they want to use it.
The older homes around Lake Ellyn and the village center differ from newer homes and remodels elsewhere in town; a finished lower level is not automatically a clear swing space.
Plan around the lower level you have
In an established Glen Ellyn house, basement beams, ductwork, or stairs may determine where a golfer could stand. A remodeled or newer room can still contain soffits or windows that influence screen height and projector placement.
If family seating remains in the room, identify circulation and sightlines early. Discuss acoustics, light, a stable hitting surface, and ball containment as parts of the same plan rather than independent purchases.

Check more than the ceiling number
Record clear width at the swing position, ball-flight depth, the lowest overhead point, and the location of doors and fixed storage. Include the handedness and approximate height of intended players when discussing feasibility.
Share your Glen Ellyn starting point
Photos from both ends of the proposed bay and rough measurements can help frame a first review. A layout, equipment selection, and quote should follow the specific room rather than a neighborhood assumption.
Frequently asked questions
Is a finished Glen Ellyn lower level automatically ready for a simulator?
No. Finishes can conceal low ducts or beams, and the intended golfers need enough clearance along the full swing path.
Can seating stay near the proposed hitting zone?
It depends on the room. Viewers and circulation must be kept outside the swing and ball path, so the seating plan should be reviewed with the enclosure layout.
