Golf Simulator Design & Installation in Barrington
Golf Sim Chicago helps Barrington homeowners compare possible simulator rooms against the needs of the people who will use them.
Older houses near the historic downtown and Metra station can present different lower-level layouts from newer homes toward the village edges. Neither setting guarantees a clear swing path.
Find a bay that fits the house
An established Barrington home may have a basement with posts, ductwork, or a staircase near the preferred screen wall. A newer bonus room could provide a different ceiling profile but bring windows or a route to other rooms through the proposed hitting area.
If the space should also host friends after a visit to downtown Barrington, plan viewing positions and ball containment before settling on seating. A screen, stance surface, and safe path across the room need to be considered together.

Compare the actual clearances
Photograph the lowest ceiling points and measure width and depth from the intended hitting position. Include windows, doors, and any storage that must remain, then review projector and monitor requirements against those measurements.
Begin with your Barrington room
Share photos of each candidate space, rough dimensions, and who plans to play. A conversation can narrow the layout questions before a project-specific design or quote is prepared.
Frequently asked questions
Could an older Barrington basement work despite support posts?
Possibly. Their positions must be mapped against the full swing, screen, seating, and paths through the room before a hitting direction is considered.
Is a bonus room preferable to a finished lower level?
Not necessarily. Compare clear height, usable depth, daylight, and how each room is used before selecting the better candidate.
